Make Menu Plans Work for YOU!!!

Last week I posted this for my menu plan:

Monday -- Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans
Tuesday -- Potato Soup and fresh bread in the breadmaker
Wednesday -- Chicken Pot Pie from the freezer, salad, applesauce
Thursday -- Velveetta Cheesy Chicken with peas
Friday -- Baked Pork Chops, Baked Potatoes, broccoli & cheese
Saturday -- Lasagna, bread sticks, and salad
Sunday -- Burritos, beans, and Spanish Rice from the freezer with a salad

I don't always completely stick to my list.  When the month begins I print out a calendar and do one month of meals(25-28) at a time so I can easily move meals around if need be and so that we have a nice variety.  Due to unforeseen circumstances a few meals from last week got bumped for another time.  I made Chicken Noodle Soup and Ham Sandwiches on Tuesday instead of Potato Soup because my husband and daughter were sick.  I made Cavanti from the freezer on Friday night since I went to work and my husband and son went to the air zoo for their birthdays!  Then Saturday night my husband and I  got a blessed date night!  Those can be few and far between at times. On Sunday we decided to have company and used Chicken Roll-Ups from the freezer instead of the burritos.  I think a big thing we need to remember is how we need to be flexible to fit our family's needs and yet have a plan in place so you don't have the same thing week in and week out.
