I've adapted this recipe from Living on a Dime to make dinner rolls in the freezer. I'm sure you've seen them in your grocer's freezer, like the Rhode's Dinner Rolls.
|1 cup flour||1/2 cup milk|
|1/2 tsp. salt||1/4 cup water|
|2 Tbsp. sugar||2 Tbsp. margarine|
|1 pkg. or 1 Tbsp. yeast||1-1 1/2 cups wheat flour|
Mix 3/4 cup flour with sugar, yeast, and salt. Heat milk, water and margarine until very warm (120°-130°) and place in your bread machine. Add to dry ingredients and start mixing. Once ingredients are well mixed, add 1/4 cup flour. Mix well. Add in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Now let the dough cycle finish on your bread machine. Take out the dough and form balls. At this point you can flash freeze the balls and place in bags or you can place 8 in a tinfoil pie pan. Once you're ready to use, simply take them out of the freezer and let them rise until almost doubled. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes.
