As you know, I love to garden to help stretch our food budget. However, there are people who have never gardened before and don't know where to start. Here's a great tool to help you learn about gardening! Franklin Springs Family Media sent me The Art of Gardening from the Homestead Series to review. This is such a great DVD! It is a great help to someone who has never gardened before in their life, but it was still very informative for someone like myself who has been gardening for several years.
I learned more information about composting and container gardening. I've dabbled a little in each of these areas, but not much! They taught how to lasagna gardening, which would be a great way to start a garden your first year or even if you have a spot you've been wanting to add a flower bed! They also showed an easy way to keep your early (or late fall) plants from frost! This DVD inspired me to get out and do more gardening!
Franklin Hills has also generously supplied a Homestead Blessing 10 pack DVDs for one lucky reader! There are all sorts of frugal crafts taught in these films! The Art of Gardening is of course included, but also, The Art of: Canning, Quilting, Sewing, Dairy Delights, Herbs, Cooking, Soap Making, Candle Making, and Bread Making! Those are all valuable tools to learn to help you save money and this would be an excellent way to teach your children some of these wonderful skills! Imagine the great homeschool curriculum this would make! I'm drooling! (Too bad I can't enter!)
To enter visit Franklin Hills and tell me which DVD you think will benefit you the most.

So many good DVD's - but I have been wanting to start Soap Making....so I was excited to see that one! :)
I need the art of sewing. I can hardly sew on a button, and then it usually pops off!
I think the Dairy one looks interesting and the one on Herbs! Maybe I could use more of my herbs in my herb garden.
I am a Facebook fan and I changed my status to your blog thing. :)

We posted about this giveaway at Winning Readings: http://winningreadings.blogspot.com/2010/07/homestead-blessings-10-pack-dvd.html
And I'd say it's a toss-up between Gardening and Cooking - I think Gardening would be best because I know so little about it and really want a decent one next year.

I want to learn to sew and quilt so bad!!! I've tried teaching myself to sew and it was not pretty, so I'd probably benefit from the sewing one the most.

I think I'd benefit most by Homestead Blessings: The Art of Dairy Delights, or at least at the present time, since we've been trying to make cheese and the last time we tried we failed.
I would love to view Homestead Blessings: The Art of Bread Making. vidomich(at)yahoo(dot)com

They all sound wonderful...I have been wanting to get the series for quite some time. I think the ones that would help me the most right now are the gardening and canning ones. Thank you for the chance to win.
What an amazing series! I can't decide...soap and sewing would be helpful for my hobbies, but I hope to start gardening and canning next year, but cooking and bread making would be useful now. Ack - the indecision!!! I apparently just need the whole set :)
